WHAT WE DO
The IAN Center for the Future of Learning brings together educators, young people and community leaders to reimagine learning in Nevada. We foster collaboration, build future-focused solutions and amplify proven practices to address today’s education challenges while shaping a thriving tomorrow. We are guided by the belief that learning is shaped by the collective power of people and communities.

The CFL facilitates the Nevada Future of Learning Network

Learning must evolve as quickly as the world around it.
Education systems are persistently out of sync with what it takes for learners to grow, workforces to function, and communities to thrive.
Engagement is declining, and academic learning is not preparing every young person for a rapidly changing world. As Nevada’s communities grow and diversify, so do the possibilities to create innovative, future-focused solutions that prepare learners to thrive in their careers and contribute to their communities.
Possibility is never just an idea for us—it’s a movement—a call to create, collaborate, and show up with and for our communities.

OUR LEADERS
The CFL team has a track record of impactful work under the umbrella of ed.Xtraordinary, powered by Teach For America. They led a community-driven effort to develop the Portrait of a Nevada Learner in partnership with the Nevada Department of Education and launched the Nevada Future of Learning Network. Through initiatives piloted under the network, learners have experienced increased engagement, skills development, and connection to their community. Now, as an independent nonprofit, CFL builds on this foundation to accelerate learning innovation across Nevada.

YOUTH FUTURESCAPERS
This summer, our Youth Futurescapers stepped forward to challenge old assumptions and sketch out bold visions of what learning can become. In the Futurescapers Almanac, they share their dreams, possibilities, and blueprints for more connected, inspiring learning communities where everyone feels they belong.
